Some Main Guidelines in The National Construction Code

The container homes must be

✔ Only one container high and not stacked, being placed at ground level or on a base or pad (no more than 300mm high) so that it can be tied down, and being sited not less than 900mm from a property boundary. 

✔ Sited not less than 6m from any habitable building in a bushfire-prone area.

✔ Applicable to building codes and regulations when used as permanent home residences - adequate ventilation, insulation, and fire safety features.

✔ Structurally sound and able to withstand the local climate conditions.

✔ Connected to the appropriate sewer and water services.

✔ Container homes must be located in an area that is zoned for residential use.

  • Yes, we do have some ready container homes in Perth, Byron Bay, Coffs Harbor, and Hobart. Come and visit us to see our collection and get an idea of how container homes and pods look. We’re usually open all seven days of the week. But, we recommend booking an appointment with us for a seamless display.

  • The requisite time totally depends on the complexity & size of the structure you want. It also depends on the specific customisations you want in the home.

    Once the design is finalised on your end we will proceed with approvals & building permits. Tentatively the project may take as least as 4 months and up to 1 year. Contact us to get a more accurate timeline.
